Stroke Support Services

The Speech Language Pathology Department, together with the Social Work Department, runs a monthly stroke support group for caregivers and survivors of a stroke. The goal of the group is to allow caregivers and survivors to connect with others who can understand their struggles and triumphs. Common topics addressed, featuring guest speakers, include: dealing with depression and anxiety, coping strategies, nutrition and exercise.

A group of stroke survivors and their caregivers, including some from Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital’s Stroke Support Group, were recently treated to a weekend free from worry at a Retreat & Refresh Stroke Camp held at Warren Conference Center in Ashland, MA.


Offering comprehensive medical, surgical and psychiatric care as well as complete emergency, ambulatory and diagnostic services to residents of southwest Boston and the surrounding suburbs.
