Under Laura Kusy’s guidance, I have been following a high fiber lifestyle for seven days now and I feel GREAT! I cannot thank you enough for all the choices you have given me to feel satisfied, and my cravings for sweets and other empty calorie snacks have subsided immensely. I have more energy and wake up even before the alarm. It’s soothing to take care of yourself! I look forward to seeing you again. Thank you! --Michele B.

I needed to give Allie Lang a shout out. I have type 2 diabetes and after her guidance, my latest hemoglobin A1c dropped to 5.7 (from 6.7 in 2017)! THANK YOU! I could not have done it without her. I sincerely appreciate her expertise, time, energy, guidance, and patience. This is a crucial time for me healthwise and she has been key in my committing to being healthier. I still have a challenging road ahead, but this small accomplishment is a boost to my health and will power. –Adrienne J.

Meeting with Nancy Oliveira was the first time I spoke to anyone in the field of nutrition. I had lost weight on the Atkins diet and then went the other extreme on a vegan diet. I regained weight on both. Like most people, it seems we get all of our nutritional facts from sources such as newspapers, magazines, and worst of all television where we are all promised quick and easy ways of weight loss, physical fitness and nutritional health. Nancy separated these myths from facts and laid out a sustainable program of healthy nutrition: a way you can live your life without depriving yourself just by using simple common sense, such as portion control, selecting what foods to eat, and what to stay away from. It may not be a quick fix but it does work over time along with staying active. I am losing weight and feel GREAT. Following Nancy’s advice will give you a greater chance to reach your goals and a much healthier way of life. Thank you for all your help! —Joe O.

At my December meeting with my endocrinologist, my hemoglobin A1C was 7.2. At that meeting, she suggested I contact the nutrition clinic. I spoke with Nancy and scheduled a visit. I found Nancy to be professional, knowledgeable, and a caring person. We went over all aspects of nutrition, and she presented me with all kinds of helpful ideas to lower my blood sugar. I then had another meeting with Nancy which my wife attended, at which time Nancy presented new food options to achieve my lower A1C. I just visited with my M.D. in February and my A1C was 6.4. I owe this dramatic decrease to Nancy. I appreciate all your help and encouragement. —S.M. Kaplan

Nancy Oliveira’s help has been invaluable to me as I adapt to a healthier lifestyle. As part of a program of regular exercise and being aware of what causes me to want to overeat, Nancy’s guidance of how food works in our bodies and how to enjoy food in moderation is an important part of my plan that has helped me lose 50 pounds in 6 months. Nancy makes you feel comfortable, asks what kinds of foods you like, and is never judgmental but supportive. She is available by email for questions. I recommend the clinic to anyone who wants to make positive changes. —Roseanne F.

I’m recovering from bulimia. I have a supportive team for my recovery. Nancy has made nutrition fun and a learning experience. She has taught me how to blog to express my feelings, which has been a big support and gotten me through a lot of food dilemmas. She is teaching me the importance of moderation in eating and exercise, and that food is like medication—you have to fuel your body every day just like taking medication every day. —Greg A.
