Dr. Tobia earned a bachelor of science degree in Biology and his doctor of medicine from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon before moving to Michigan to continue his training. There, he completed his residency in Psychiatry at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center and a fellowship in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute. At BWFH, Dr. Tobia is pleased to be part of the expert team caring for patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. “I am looking forward to working in a setting where academic excellence and warmth and camaraderie intersect,” he says. “Everyone I have met here has been very warm and welcoming, and I look forward to working with them.”

When he is not at work, Dr. Tobia enjoys the opera and classical music, as well as museums, theater and film. He also loves to cook.
