About Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital (BWFH) is a 171 bed non-profit, community teaching hospital located in Jamaica Plain, just 3.4 miles from the Longwood medical area, and across the street from the Arnold Arboretum. Founded in 1900, BWFH has a long history of meeting the health care needs of the residents of southwest Boston and surrounding suburbs (read more about our history here).

At Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, we believe that everyone should have the chance to live a healthy life. That's why we're connected to people wherever they are – in the neighborhoods where they live and play, in the places where they work, and increasingly where we can reach more people than ever before – online.

From creating breakthroughs that have paved the way for treatments around the globe to training the next generation of providers, our patients, and those we may never meet, are at the center of everything we do.

Just as a blood sample can tell us so much about your health, the same rings true about your address. That’s why we're committed to reaching those who have been underserved, including people of color, people with disabilities, elderly, veterans and those from low-income backgrounds. Our calling is to allow every voice to be heard and to make a positive impact in every community we serve.

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital is at its best when every employee feels equal, included, empowered and respected. When our employees feel supported our patients benefit from their transparency, creativity and innovation because we're all in this together. And together, we all thrive.
