Brigham and Women's Faulkner Community Physicians welcomes Dr. Jiani Guo

Jiani Guo, DO

Jiani Guo, DO, recently joined Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Community Physicians in their Hyde Park office.

Dr. Guo studied Microbiology at UMass Amherst before attending medical school at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in California. She later trained as a resident in Family Medicine at Peninsula Hospital Center then Nassau University Medical Center, both in New York. She also has training in medical acupuncture, which complements her skills as an osteopath in her comprehensive approach to primary care.

Before joining Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Community Physicians, Dr. Guo worked as a primary care provider in a community health center serving the Allston/Brighton area. In this role, she found fulfillment in caring for a diverse and medically complex patient population. In her new role, she is excited to bring her experience and skills to help her new patients in a similar setting. “This patient population is relatively underserved,” she says. “I hope that I can make a big impact.”

Dr. Guo approaches her patients’ health holistically. “I like to look at the big picture when I assess complex medical concerns,” she explains. “My goal is to work with each individual patient to help prevent and identify health issues before they progress to a point where surgery or other interventions are needed.”

Born in China and raised in Massachusetts, Dr. Guo speaks both Mandarin and Spanish in addition to English. When she is not at work, she enjoys travelling and spending time with her small but tight-knit family who still reside in the area.

Dr. Guo is currently accepting new adult patients. To make an appointment, call Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Community Physicians at Hyde Park at 617-364-9880.
