Rehabilitation Services team members take on expanded roles

In the Rehabilitation Services Department at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, specialists in physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology help both inpatients and outpatients on their healing journey. Recently, several members of the team have been recognized for their dedication to their work and taken on expanded roles.

Mira Fein, CCC-SLP, has been promoted to Senior Speech Language Pathologist. She says, “The opportunity to provide gold-standard services to folks in the community makes it a joy and a privilege to contribute to patient care here at BWFH.”

Amy Trumbull, PT, DPT, has been promoted to Senior Inpatient Physical Therapist. “I enjoy the challenge of helping patients in many different parts of the hospital improve their mobility and function,” she says. “I also enjoy working with my rehab colleagues to provide excellent patient care—we have a great team!”

Jared Wydysh PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, has been promoted to Senior Outpatient Physical Therapist. “Working for BWFH the past few years has made me appreciate the positive impact that we have on the people that we serve. The hospital offers a unique opportunity to work in a community hospital with some of the brightest minds and professionals in healthcare,” he says.

Senior Outpatient Physical Therapist James Manna, PT, DPT, OCS, has been asked to take on a new challenge as the Interim Inpatient Physical Therapy Manager. “After working on the ambulatory service side of things at BWFH as an Outpatient Physical Therapist for 13 years, I’m excited to help out for the time being as the Inpatient Physical Therapy Manager,” he says. “I’m ready for the challenge and look forward to working with a new group of colleagues who all play an important part of the interdisciplinary team. My new responsibilities will focus on department efficiency as well as improving integration of therapy across the acute care setting.”
