At the 41st American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (ASPAN) National Conference held recently in Philadelphia, Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital was well represented with six members of its perioperative clinical leadership in attendance and four poster presentations included in the program.

Among those who attended were Professional Development Manager Kathy McCarraher, MHA, BSN, RN, CPAN, ONC, PACU Clinical Leader June Nichols, BSN, RN, Preoperative Holding Permanent Charge Nurse Carolyn Geoghegan, RN, CAPA, Perianesthesia Flow/Operations Manager Pam Park, MSN, RN, FNP-C, Chief Nurse Practitioner for the Center for Preoperative Evaluation Nickisha Hurlock, MSN, RN, FNP-C, and Associate Chief Nurse, Perianesthesia/Procedural and Ambulatory Services Robin Kaufman, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, NEA-BC. PACU Clinical Leader Charlene Salvi, BSN, RN, CPAN, presented virtually.

For Kaufman, it was truly meaningful to have so many members of her team share their work on the national stage. “It’s a true testament to this team’s dedication to quality patient care,” she says. “We were so proud to present and to represent the many interdisciplinary collaborators who partnered with us, including former Peri-Procedural Services Project Manager Edward Acheampong, MSM, LSSBB, PMP, former Senior Director of Surgical and Procedural Services Jeff Blackwell, FACHE, and Chief of Anesthesia David Shaff, MD.”
