BWFH celebrates International Day of Persons with Disabilities - December 3
International Day of Persons with Disabilities, celebrated every December 3 since 1992, aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. It also seeks to increase awareness of gains to be derived from the integration of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life. This International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council invites you to explore the This Is Me photojournalism exhibit recently installed outside the Cafeteria. The diverse perspectives featured in this exhibit remind us of how far we have come in the healthcare system and in society. They also remind us of how much work remains to be done to achieve full equity and inclusion for all people with disabilities.
