Merrigan named Ambulatory Nurse Director

Kathy Merrigan, MSN, RN

Kathleen Merrigan, MSN, RN, was recently named Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital Ambulatory Nurse Director. In this role, she has leadership over the Outpatient Infusion Center. 

Merrigan served as Director of Perioperative Services at BWFH beginning in 2015, overseeing CPE, preoperative holding and the PACU. In her new role, she oversees nursing practice in the Outpatient Infusion Center, as well as the Gregory Endoscopy Centre, the Pain Management Center, Interventional Radiology/Interventional Nephrology and the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. She continues to collaborate with key physician and administrative partners as each department flourishes with new volume and program initiatives.

Merrigan earned her bachelor’s degree from Salem State College and her master’s degree from Regis College. She has 25 years of emergency nursing experience. Prior to joining the team at BWFH, she held the position of Peri-Operative Nurse Manager at New England Baptist Hospital.

Merrigan says of working with Clinical Leader Ginny Grace, BSN, RN, OCN, and the team, "I am excited to work with a new nursing team and collaborate with physicians and the Pharmacy to create a warm, welcoming space for patients and their families."
