The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the region, effective 11 pm tonight, with forecasts calling for 12 to 18 inches of snow in Boston. Snowfall is expected to begin tonight around midnight and continue throughout Tuesday. Forecasters anticipate the snow will be heavy and wet, falling at approximately two inches per hour, and accompanied by high-speed winds. Travel will be extremely difficult during the storm; blizzard conditions are likely.
As always, Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital is open for care during the storm, but please be sure to call your doctor's office to confirm your appointment and verify their hours of operation before leaving home. Employees assigned to off-site parking lots should park in the third floor hillside garage beginning at 6 am on Tuesday, March 13.
