Brigham and Women's Orthopaedic Center at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital welcomes Antonia Chen, MD, MBA

Brigham and Women’s Orthopaedic Center at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital is pleased to welcome Antonia Chen, MD, MBA. Dr. Chen, who is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery, sees patients in clinic on 5 South and in the OR.

Dr. Chen is a graduate of Rutgers Medical School. She completed her residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and a fellowship in total joint arthroplasty at the Rothman Institute/Thomas Jefferson University. She also earned an MBA at Rutgers Business School.

Her clinical interests include treatment of arthritis, including total knee and hip replacement surgery and partial knee replacement surgery. She is also interested in taking care of complications after knee and hip replacement surgery, including revision knee and hip replacements, treatment of periprosthetic joint infections, treatment of arthrofibrosis and periprosthetic fractures. In the OR at BWFH, she performs primary and revision total hip and knee replacements.

Dr. Chen says she is looking forward to getting to know her colleagues here at BWFH. “As the newest orthopaedic surgeon to join the faculty at BWFH, I look forward to working in a collaborative environment of healthcare providers to efficiently and comprehensively improve our patients’ lives,” she says.

Outside of work, she enjoys exercising and spending time with her family, friends and dog.
