Associate Surgeon joins Brigham and Women's Division of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at BWFH

Regan Bergmark, MD

Regan Bergmark, MD, has joined Brigham and Women’s Division of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital as Associate Surgeon. She will see patients both in clinic and in the OR where she will perform endoscopic sinus surgery, septum and nasal surgery and general otolaryngology procedures.

Dr. Bergmark is a graduate of Stanford University and was a John Gardner Public Service Fellow prior to receiving her medical degree from Harvard Medical School. She completed residency training in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery in the Harvard Otolaryngology Residency Program followed by a fellowship in Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base Surgery at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary/Harvard Medical School. At Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Dr. Bergmark was then the Gliklich Healthcare Innovation Scholar where she collaborated with Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School, Harvard Business School and the International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement on standardized health outcomes measures. She is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

“My clinical interests include diseases of the nose, sinuses and skull base, chronic sinusitis, recurrent sinus infections, tumors of the sinuses or nasal passage, aspirin exacerbated respiratory disease, as well as general otolaryngology,” says Dr. Bergmark.

At BWFH, she says she looks forward to getting to know her surgical colleagues. “I am thrilled to be joining such an expert, warm and friendly surgical team,” she says. “While I have been in Boston for the past 11 years, I am originally from Minnesota, and so the ‘friendly Faulkner’ feels like home to me.”

Dr. Bergmark is also an instructor in Otolaryngology at Harvard Medical School and is on the faculty at the Center for Surgery and Public Health. When she is not at work, she enjoys running, cooking and hiking with her husband and three sons.
