Cori Loescher, BSN, MM, RN, NEA-BC, has been at the BWFH for over twenty years in Nursing leadership positions and has been the CNO since 2017. She has led hospital-wide and system wide efforts improve patient care across Brigham Health and most recently the efforts to obtain Magnet designation—the highest national honor for nursing excellence—from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Building interprofessional teams and ensuring that nurses have a strong voice at all levels of the organization has been a top priority for Loescher. Examples included building local unit leadership structures that support the interdisciplinary collaboration between physicians, nurse leaders and advanced practice clinicians to innovate care models and improve clinical outcomes and expanding the department’s collaborative governance structure to increase nurse participation and support the sharing of best practices.
Prior to BWFH, Loescher held Nursing Leadership positions at in the Caritas system and at Boston Medical Center. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Saint Anselm College and master’s degree in Management and Health Care Administration from Cambridge College. Loescher is also certified as a nursing executive advanced.
