Established in 1998 in memory of Mary Devane to be given to any member of Brigham and Woman’s Faulkner Hospital’s Department of Nursing (RN, PCA, UST, MHW, Secretary) in recognition of their commitment to delivering patient care with compassion, kindness and humor.
Nomination Instructions
Nominations may only be submitted by BWFH employees. If your submission does not list an email address ending in @bwh.harvard.edu, @partners.org or @mgb.org, the nomination will not be considered.
The Extra (S)miles Award Nomination has two separate criteria for consideration. Please provide as much detail as possible for each criterion. It is your words that the committee will consider when narrowing down the nominations, so try to be as descriptive as possible when explaining why your nominee deserves this award!
