Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital has been named a high performing hospital in the latest edition of the U.S. News Media & World Report's 2025-2026 Best Hospitals rankings.
The rankings listed Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital as a top 10 hospital in the Boston Metro area and Massachusetts. The hospital is also ranked as “high performing” in the following clinical specialties: Diabetes & Endocrinology, Geriatrics, and Orthopedics. The hospital was also recognized as high performing for treatment in nine procedures and conditions: chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), diabetes, heart arrhythmia, heart failure, hip replacement, kidney failure, knee replacement, pneumonia, and prostate cancer surgery.
The core mission of Best Hospitals is to guide patients who require a higher level of care, whether due to a complex surgery, a challenging condition, or additional health risks, to high-performing community hospitals like Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital.

Mass General Brigham is honored to have eight hospitals nationally recognized in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals rankings.
Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital once again earned spots on the Honor Roll among the top hospitals in the country. Particular highlights include Brigham and Women’s Hospital ranked #1 in the nation for obstetrics and gynecology for the fourth year in a row, and Massachusetts General Hospital ranked #1 for Psychiatry for a second consecutive year.
Three Mass General Brigham specialty hospitals – McLean Hospital, Spaulding Rehabilitation and Mass Eye and Ear – were recognized for national excellence. McLean Hospital is ranked #2 in the nation in psychiatry, Spaulding Rehabilitation is ranked #2 in rehabilitation and Mass Eye and Ear is #4 for ophthalmology and #5 for otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat care).
