Updated Partners Quality and Safety website highlights how quality metrics are improving care

The Partners commitment to care quality and patient safety is made stronger through our system. The vast collection of qualitative data gathered from patient encounters across our care network can help both caregivers and patients make better care decisions—but only when these data are presented accurately, understandably and transparently.

In keeping with that commitment, The Partners Quality and Safety Department refreshed and reorganized the QSV website so that quality and safety data are presented as robustly as possible across the spectrum of the patient experience: preventive, acute, chronic condition and palliative care. Our measures extend far beyond traditional sources like insurance billing data, encompassing electronic health record benchmarks through our shared Partners eCare system, as well as self-reported measures from patients themselves. To make these data most accessible, we’ve created relevant case studies for common conditions that demonstrate how care consistently improves across quality measures.

“Patient care is multidimensional, so it’s fitting that we take a similarly holistic approach to measuring quality throughout our multifaceted system,” says Tom Sequist, MD, MPH, Chief Quality and Safety Officer at Partners HealthCare. “This updated website provides a more 360-degree view of how we are constantly working together to enhance the patient experience and deliver the right care, at the right time, in the right place.

Please visit the Quality and Safety website to see updated data as well as new case studies highlighting innovations around the system related to cancer screening, depression, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and hypertension, among others.
