The results are in! This year’s Party in the Parking Lot will be the best yet

The scene from Party in the Parking Lot 2021

Thank you to the nearly 350 Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital staff who took our recent Party in the Parking Lot Employee Survey. Based on your suggestions, the Rewards and Recognition Committee is hard at work planning this year’s bash—scheduled for Friday, October 7.

When asked about their favorite food trucks from past events, respondents made it clear they love the Cookie Monstah, Roxy’s Grilled Cheese and Friskie Fries. The survey also yielded some great ideas for new trucks, including Reggae Foods, Chicken & Rice Guys and Jamaica Mi Hungry. Respondents also indicated they wanted to see more vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free options at this year’s event.

“We’re currently reaching out to some of our staff’s favorite past vendors and new ones based on the survey results,” says Laura Barnett Executive Director of Human Resources and Executive Sponsor of the Rewards and Recognition Committee. “We hope to have the line-up of trucks ready to announce in September.”

In addition to the food trucks themselves, the committee is reviewing suggestions from the survey for entertainment. The day will be sure to be filled with games, music and fun—as well as a special give-away for all staff members.

“Our goal each year is to provide as many staff members as possible with a meal and a chance to socialize with co-workers outside of the hospital walls,” says Barnett. “Unfortunately, we know that not all staff are able to attend, so this year we are looking for ways to include staff who work shifts other than days. We’re also actively working to make sure food truck lines move quickly so that everyone who can attend is able to get a meal and enjoy their lunch break.”

Party in the Parking Lot 2022 will be our last chance to party in the parking lot until construction is complete on our building expansion project. So save the date! Party in the Parking Lot 2022 will take place on Friday, October 7.
