Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital’s I CARE Award recognizes staff members from all areas of the hospital who go above and beyond their regular job responsibilities to make BWFH a great place to work and receive care. Julia Trumble, LICSW, Social Work Supervisor for the Addiction Recovery Program, was a recent recipient of an I CARE Award.

Trumble was nominated for her I CARE Award by Addiction Recovery Program psychiatrist Claire Twark, MD. In her nomination letter, Dr. Twark wrote:

Julia is in serious need of more recognition for everything that she does behind the scenes at the BWFH Addiction Recovery Program. She catches scheduling errors proactively in ways that benefit patient care, keeps track of all our patients, knows who’s covering who, offers to help with covering MDs with non-medication patient issues, calls patients in distress or in need of referrals and may more things that I’m certainly forgetting. She proactively helped to re-orient me upon my return from maternity leave, offering to help me the first day in any way that she could. I frequently discuss complex patients with Julia because her experience with challenges is so invaluable and because she has worked in our clinic for so long that she knows almost all our patients from various groups/points of contact. I could not thank her enough for everything extra that she does without prompting!

Do you know a BWFH employee who has gone above and beyond to demonstrate BWFH’s I CARE Standards? To nominate a fellow colleague for an I CARE Award, please visit our employee intranet, BWFH - Vitals. A team of colleagues will personally recognize the employee by presenting them with balloons, a thank you card and a gift certificate redeemable in the cafeteria or Atrium Café.
