Phlebotomist receives I CARE Award

Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital’s I CARE Award recognizes staff members from all areas of the hospital who go above and beyond their regular job responsibilities to make BWFH a great place to work and receive care. Phlebotomist Kairis Webb was a recent recipient of an I CARE Award.

Webb was nominated for her I CARE Award by a colleague, who wrote:

Today we had only two phlebotomists and she knew I wouldn’t be able to take a break (I also have diabetes) so she came in on a Sunday on her day off to make sure I was able to take a break so my sugar level wouldn’t drop. She made sure I ate on time. It’s staff like her that make people like me love working here even more. She is a very kind, compassionate, giving person. She is also my supervisor and today she went above and beyond showing how much she cares for other’s wellbeing.

Do you know a BWFH employee who has gone above and beyond to demonstrate BWFH’s I CARE Standards? To nominate a fellow colleague for an I CARE Award, please visit BWFHconnect. A team of colleagues will personally recognize the employee by presenting them with balloons, a thank you card and a gift certificate redeemable in the cafeteria or Atrium Café.
