Partners eCare Clinical Operations Manager named Communications Chair of Brigham Health LGBT & Allies Employee Resource Group

The Brigham Health LGBT & Allies Employee Resource Group was formed in 2008 in support of the health and well-being of the diverse communities we serve. The group is dedicated to creating a welcoming and affirming environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employees, patients, families and friends, and invites all Brigham Health employees (friends and allies, as well as those in the LGBT community) to join them and participate in their activities and events.

Mary Beth Dynan, Partners eCare Clinical Operations Manager at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, was recently named Communications Chair for the group. “My job is to help get the word out about the work that we’re doing,” says Dynan of her new role.

Recently, the group began a new speaker series. The first event featured Partners HealthCare’s Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer Dani Monroe who spoke about her role and the value of Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) in 2017, as well as current D&I efforts underway with Partners 2.0. “The event was really well received,” says Dynan. “We are getting really great speakers for future events and we want to make sure people know about them.”

Dynan also hopes to play a role as the group begins to work with other similar organizations across the Partners. She says, “There are other groups at the various hospitals across Partners HealthCare. We hope we can work with them and do outreach with them.”
