Partners 2.0: Many minds, one heart, together we will make health care better

More than ever before, major changes in technology, transparency and the economics of health care are calling upon Partners HealthCare and all its member institutions to function more as an integrated system and less like separate entities. Partners 2.0 is a new, multi-year, system-wide initiative that will optimize efficiency across Partners and improve our entire system to achieve better health for our patients.

BWHC President Dr. Betsy Nabel, one of the leaders of Partners 2.0, has called the initiative “inspirational and aspirational” with everyone “working together in a collaborative way to maintain and grow our leadership role as a world-class center of care.” To become a true system for our patients, we will plan and work together with trust and sharing as never before. This will involve new expectations, such as:

  • Communicating and collaborating across the continuum of care –staff, clinicians and management – even if it is for the first time;
  • Reinventing clinical care for better individual and community health, more simplicity and less cost in order to free resources for our most important priorities; and
  • Modernizing education for a new generation of clinicians, scientists and leaders to serve the health care system of the future.

In the coming weeks and months, Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital staff will receive more details about their role in this essential effort. In the meantime, an introductory video and detailed FAQs are available, and more information will be added to the Partners 2.0 website as it becomes available.
