Occupational Health Office Manager receives I CARE Award

Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital’s I CARE Award recognizes staff members from all areas of the hospital who go above and beyond their regular job responsibilities to make BWFH a great place to work and receive care. Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital’s Occupational Health Office Manager Ciara Batt was a recent recipient of an I CARE Award.

Batt was nominated for her I CARE Award by Occupational Health Manager Dinah McDonald, MS, ANP-BC, COHN-S/CM, and Executive Director of Human Resources Laura Barnett.

In their nomination letter, McDonald and Barnett wrote:

We would like to nominate Ciara Batt for an I CARE Award for her stellar work on our Employee Influenza Vaccination Program. We would like to recognize her hard work and dedication in organizing our influenza vaccination clinics and manually data entering hundreds of external influenza vaccines received in outside clinics. Thanks to her efforts, BWFH employees have a very high vaccination rate which ultimately protects our employees, patients and families from influenza.

Ciara Batt goes above and beyond her regular job responsibilities and demonstrates our I CARE Standards. She single-handedly organized 12 large scale influenza clinics in the lobby and additionally smaller flu clinics in the OHS office. Her hard work, attention to detail, excellent project management skills and support given to our clinicians have made our clinics run smoothly. Ciara creates a warm and welcoming place for all employees to receive their influenza vaccines.

Do you know a BWFH employee who has gone above and beyond to demonstrate BWFH’s I CARE Standards? To nominate a fellow colleague for an I CARE Award, please visit BWFHconnect. A team of colleagues will personally recognize the employee by presenting them with balloons, a thank you card and a gift certificate redeemable in the cafeteria or Atrium Café.
