Nutrition Clinic welcomes new coordinator

The Nutrition Clinic at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital is pleased to welcome Stefanie O’Connor, MS, RD, LDN, to the role of Nutrition Clinic Coordinator.

O’Connor received a certificate in Didactic Program in Dietetics, a Master of Science in Nutrition and Health Promotion and completed a one-year nutrition internship at Simmons College. She is a familiar face here at BWFH, having worked as a per diem inpatient nutritionist for the past five years.

“I was ready to make the switch to full-time work when this position became available,” says O’Connor. “I have enjoyed working at BWFH because it has a kind and supportive community. In my new role, I am now looking forward to expanding my interdisciplinary relationships to the outpatient staff here.”

So far, O’Connor is pleased with her decision to move to the outpatient setting. “I enjoy spending up to an entire hour with each patient, really getting to know their backgrounds and how those details fuel the way they eat and relate to food,” she says.

When she is not at work, O’Connor enjoys running for her own medicine and has recently begun participating in organized races.
