In the Non-Invasive Testing Departments at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, one of the many tests available to providers and their patients is electroencephalogram (EEG). Now, thanks to new state-of-the-art video-enabled technology, the technologists and referring providers are able to obtain a clearer understanding of each patient’s symptoms as they relate to the EEG waveforms.
For providers referring patients, the process of ordering an EEG with this new technology is simple. In the order set, simply select BWF as the location and check “Yes” to both “Ambulatory EEG” and “With Video.”

To honor the lives saved and remember the lives lost due to COVID-19, Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital recently unveiled our Hearts of Remembrance display. Located in the third floor corridor on the wall opposite the cafeteria seating area, this exhibit features a mosaic of blue and yellow hearts—each one symbolizing a life saved or lost at BWFH due to COVID-19, with one special red heart to remember our colleague Marie Deus.
The display also contains an interactive component for staff to add their own message or remembrance by picking up a white heart and writing a short message in memory or in honor of someone affected by COVID-19, or a personal message, and post it on the display.
White hearts and pens to use, along with hand sanitizer, are available right outside the cafeteria for anyone wishing to participate.
