Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital will hold one more employee flu clinics near the chapel by the third-floor entrance on Thursday, October 8 from 7 am – 12 noon.
Mass General Brigham requires that all employees, including those working remotely, receive a flu vaccine by November 13, 2020, unless they are approved for a medical or religious exemption.
Recently, Mass General Brigham Information Systems upgraded ServiceNow, the application behind our ticket management system and the Service Desk website. In addition to an “under the hood” makeover, the new version brings with it a fresh, new customer-facing site – the IS Service Hub! The Hub’s modern look and feel offers a streamlined experience to access the support resources you need more efficiently, including a prominently displayed Search bar and InfoBot, our new chatbot service. From October 4 to October 10, we celebrate Healthcare Foodservice Workers Week. This week is set aside annually to honor health care food and nutrition professionals. Honor your colleagues and recognize the integral role they have played in helping employees and patients stay well-nourished and healthy, especially throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Each year on the first full week of October, the American Hospital Association's Association for Health Care Resource & Materials Management sponsors National Health Care Supply Chain Week to recognize and honor health care supply chain professionals for their outstanding contributions to health care. With the outbreak of COVID-19, BWFH's Materials Management team was called upon more than ever to source the personal protective equipment and supplies needed to arm those on the front lines of patient care battling the pandemic. We would like to recognize their hard work and dedication to supporting every area of our hospital, not just during the public health crisis but every day!
Every year from October 6 to 12, we celebrate National PA Week, which recognizes the physician assistant profession. Here at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, PAs work alongside physicians, nurses and the entire interdisciplinary team to care for both inpatients and patients in the ambulatory clinics. This week, we thank them for all they do!
