BWFH's Campus Expansion

Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital received approval for the Determination of Need (DoN) submission in May 2022 to begin working on a campus expansion program to better support care in our communities. Construction began in May of 2023.

Construction Update: May 26 - June 6, 2025

Garage

• Demolish remaining parts of the existing garage structure with crane support for protection.
• Remove demolished garage concrete and steel from site.
• Begin removal of existing retaining walls and footings. Removal may require hammering which will cause some additional noise.
• Install new vinyl graphics at new Hillside Garage elevators.
• Complete landscaping (weather dependent).

Inpatient Addition

Work Within Hospital Spaces

• 2nd Floor
  • Continued use of Hospital Loading Dock.
  • Saturday 5/31:
    • Patch and repair CMU walls at level 2 loading dock.
    • Shut down Cafeteria RTU D to install economizer.

Exterior Site Work

• Saturday 5/31: Repair and replace telephone/data manhole cover at Hillside Garage Main Entrance.
• Punchlist landscaping, hardscaping, and irrigation completion.

New Inpatient Building

• Relocate Endoscopy 4 Medical Gas panel.
• Install patient room bathroom grab bars.
• Miscellaneous “day 2” work.
