Kelleher named Nurse Director for Perianesthesia Services

Erin Kelleher, BSN, RN, recently accepted the role of Nurse Director for Perianesthesia Services at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital.

Kelleher began her career at BWFH as a nurse’s aide in the Float Pool in 2004. She moved on to a role as a newly licensed nurse on 6 South in 2005 where she worked until 2006. She spent the next 11 years in the Emergency Department before joining the team in the Gregory Endoscopy Centre in 2017. Since December of 2021, she has served as Assistant Nurse Director for Ambulatory Services—a role in which she has proven herself to be a strong leader. She holds a bachelor of science degree in Nursing from St. Joseph’s College where she is currently working toward a joint master of science degree in Nursing and Business Administration, which she expects to complete in 2024.

In her new role, she will have oversight of the blended Perianesthesia Unit, including the Weiner Center for Preoperative Evaluation, Preoperative Holding, the PACU and the Extended Recovery Unit. “I am really excited!” she says of this next phase of her career. “I look forward to continuing my journey in the hospital that has fostered many of my experiences.”

When she is not at work, Kelleher enjoys spending time with friends and family and staying active in her community.
