Kaufman named Associate Chief Nurse, Perianesthesia/Procedural and Ambulatory Services

Robin Kaufman, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, NEA-BC, has recently been named Associate Chief Nurse, Perianesthesia/Procedural and Ambulatory Services at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital.

Kaufman most recently served as Perioperative Nurse Director, where she oversaw the Weiner Center for Perioperative Evaluation, Pre-Op Holding and the PACU.

In her new role, Kaufman will have oversight of those areas, as well as the Gregory Endoscopy Centre, Interventional Radiology/Interventional Nephrology, the Outpatient Infusion Center, the Pain Management Center and Cardiac Rehabilitation. “The new leadership structure our Chief Nurse Cori Loescher envisioned is designed to support the needs of these important, growing units. It also creates opportunities for nurses who want to develop into leadership roles and enhances succession planning,” says Kaufman. New roles created with this change include a Nurse Director of Procedural Nursing, an Assistant Nurse Director of Ambulatory Services and a Perianesthesia Flow Manager.

“I’m so grateful for the incredible support and all I have learned from my colleagues here at BWFH,” says Kaufman. “I am so excited for this opportunity.”

A life-long learner, Kaufman studied nursing at Simmons College then earned her Master of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner at UMass Boston. In the spring of 2017, she earned her DNP also from UMass Boston. Most recently, she earned her NEA-BC credential.
