Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital’s I CARE Award recognizes staff members from all areas of the hospital who go above and beyond their regular job responsibilities to make BWFH a great place to work and receive care. Nurses Tess Moore, Jen Walsh and Jess Loescher, from the Extended Recovery Unit (ERU) were recent recipients of an I CARE Award.

All three were nominated for their I CARE Awards by Assistant Nurse Director for Ambulatory Services Erin Kelleher, BSN, RN.

In her nomination letter, Kelleher wrote:

Recently, these wonderful nurses had a very difficult shift. They managed to care for a very acute patient as a team while also tending to the medical and safety needs of their other patients. They came together as a team and received high praise from the patients under their care. Sometimes as nurses we wonder if we did everything we could have during those difficult shifts, and I can absolutely tell you that these nurses excelled! I am proud to work alongside these women!!

Do you know a BWFH employee who has gone above and beyond to demonstrate BWFH’s I CARE Standards? To nominate a fellow colleague for an I CARE Award, please visit the employee intranet, BWFH - Vitals. A team of colleagues will personally recognize the employee by presenting them with balloons, a thank you card and a gift certificate redeemable in the cafeteria or Atrium Café.
