DeJean receives Sadowsky Award for Excellence

The Dr. Norman L. Sadowsky Award for Excellence goes to an individual who best exemplifies the qualities Dr. Sadowsky himself demonstrated throughout his illustrious career. This year’s recipient, announced during the annual Employee Service Awards, is 7 North Clinical Leader Jacqueline DeJean, BSN, RN.

Dr. Sadowsky made extraordinary contributions to BWFH’s patients and staff during his more than 40 years of leadership in radiology. As a radiologist, colleague, friend, teacher, researcher and administrator, he always brought the highest levels of caring, compassion, creativity and service excellence to his work.

Much like Dr. Sadowsky, DeJean is dedicated to her patients and coworkers and exhibits excellent leadership skills. So much so, she received more than a dozen nominations for this year’s Sadowsky Award for Excellence.

Here’s what several 7 North nurses had to say about her:

“Jacqui has played an integral role in the start of my nursing career. She is always available to help and answer questions, and she does it with a smile. Even at almost 9 months pregnant she is always on the go answering call bells and helping other nurses.”

“Jacqui is always willing to lend a helping hand and cares for all patients as if she were the primary nurse. She is a great leader and influence on all nurses.”

“Jacqui’s contributions to the Faulkner community are aplenty, from never thinking twice about extending a helping hand to checking in on patients and their families.”
