BWFH adds to the fun at SunSplash

SunSplash 2019

Emerging Leaders Committee Members at the face painting booth

Each year, Bain Capital sponsors SunSplash at the Italian Home for Children. The event, which caps off the summer camp activities, features obstacle courses, a water slide, a dunk tank and more. To add to the fun, Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital’s cafeteria donated $400 worth of food for the cookout and the Emerging Leaders Committee were on hand to offer face painting and temporary tattoos.

“We’ve been donating hot dogs, hamburgers and chicken to the Italian Home for the annual summer party for several years,” says BWFH’s Cafeteria Manager John Dantona. “It’s a small thing we can do to be good neighbors. I was thrilled to hear that all the kids enjoyed their meal this year.”

Members of the Emerging Leaders Committee were also more than happy to reach out to our neighbors. “This is the second year in a row that we have run the face painting booth at SunSplash,” says Community Health and Wellness Assistant and Emerging Leaders Co-Chair Katie Plante. “All of the kids I talked to told me how much fun they were having. It is truly a special day for them and we were so happy to be part of it.”
