Atrium Café staff receive I CARE Awards

Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital’s I CARE Award recognizes staff members from all areas of the hospital who go above and beyond their regular job responsibilities to make BWFH a great place to work and receive care. Atrium Café barista Anastasia Panagopoulos and Supervisor Christopher Gregory were recent recipients of I CARE Awards.

Panagopoulos was nominated for her I CARE Award by Gregory. In his nomination letter, Gregory wrote:

Anna is the mayor of the Atrium Café. She is incredibly polite. She remembers everyone’s order and cares that she is doing the best job for every person that comes to the Atrium Café. She is constantly greeting people with a smile and a wonderful attitude. This makes her an invaluable person to have in her role.

Gregory was nominated for his I CARE Award by Cafeteria Manager John Dantona. In his nomination letter, Dantona wrote:

Chris is my Atrium Café/Starbucks AM Supervisor. With a shortage of staff and a retail manager Chris is a real team player. He has become my right-hand man. It doesn’t matter what I ask of him (ex. cover in the kitchen on tray line, help when there is no grill cook, help sanitize the dining room tables, help put deliveries of stock, help the cashier during lunch period in the cafeteria, empty trash, make labels, update digital screens and so much more). He always is cheerful and eager to help as well as maintaining his own responsibilities. We work so well as a team together and I don’t know what I would do without him at this time.

Do you know a BWFH employee who has gone above and beyond to demonstrate BWFH’s I CARE Standards? To nominate a fellow colleague for an I CARE Award, please visit BWFHconnect. A team of colleagues will personally recognize the employee by presenting them with balloons, a thank you card and a gift certificate redeemable in the cafeteria or Atrium Café.
