Healthy Living Speaker Series Presented by Deutsches Altenheim: Deep Brain Stimulation

Join us for a discussion about Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), one of the fastest developing fields within the neurological specialties. DBS is an stablished treatment to reduce tremor and to block involuntary movements in patients with Parkinson’s Disease, Essential Tremor, Epilepsy and other movement disorders.

Dr. G. Rees Cosgrove has over 30 years of experience in the surgical treatment of Epilepsy, Parkinson’s Disease, dystonia, tremor and other movement disorders. He serves as Director of Epilepsy and Functional Neurosurgery, and Neurosurgical Residency Program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

A light dinner will be served at 5:30 pm. The lecture begins at 6 pm.
