Inpatient Physical Therapy
Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital Rehabilitation Services specializes in caring for the acute needs of patients admitted to the hospital. Physical therapy participates in the care of patients in all patient areas including the Emergency Department, pre-admission testing, day surgery, surgical inpatient units, and medical inpatient units, ICU, addiction recovery and psychiatry.
Physical therapy is available every day, including weekends and holidays.

Inpatient Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy focuses on the activities of daily living (dressing and bathing) and instrumental activities of daily living (home management tasks). The role in an acute care setting may include the use of assistive devices and techniques to improve independence after being hospitalized.
