New Director of Development hired at BWFH
During her tenure at NVNA, Cross built a philanthropy program from the ground up, including major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, marketing strategy, and events. Cross also continues to be very active with the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy and the New England Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (NEAHP), where she has held many faculty and leadership positions, including NEAHP President from 2011-2013.
In her new role, Cross will work to raise money for BWFH in the local community, as well as work with BWFH staff to identify programs that she can help elevate. Cross describes her philosophy of fundraising as connecting people who are philanthropic and want to make changes with people who are able to make those changes happen.
"My goal," she explains, "is to find potential donors that are excited about where BWFH is going, make connections, and keep their excitement level up about helping BWFH achieve its goals." Working alongside BWFH's ambitious strategic plan, Cross looks forward to figuring out where philanthropy can help fit in to expanding BWFH's future vision.
When not working, Cross enjoys spending time with her twin eleven year-old girls, taking care of her recently adopted puppy, and running about fifty miles per week.
